  OBITUARY: Alberta Josephine McMullan (Rowe) was born on March 12, 1937, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and passed away on April 9, 2022, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the age of 85 years. Alberta was predeceased by her beloved husband Tom McMullan, sister Gwen Burton, brother Gerard Rowe, brothers-in-law Robert (Bobby) & John McMullan, and sisters-in-law Marie Devlin and Rita McDonald. She is the loving Mother of Maureen McKay (Brad Thomson) and Patrick McMullan (Patricia Naraine); cherished Grandmother (Gran) of Matthew McKay. Treasured sister of Helen Mulvihill (Bob – deceased), Paula Rose (Fred), Charles Rowe (LinAnn), Joanne Rowe, Bernadette Rowe (Joe McAskill), Janet Cann (Carmen – deceased), Beverley Rowe, Karen Connell (Doug), John Rowe (Teresa), Peter Rowe, Mary Clare Rowe (Mike Adams) and Jennifer Rowe. She will be loved and forever remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Through her love of teaching, Alberta impacted the lives of many children over her 30+ year career on both Prince Edward Island and at the Toronto Separate School Board. An avid reader, investor and antique hunter, Alberta never stopped learning - completing many courses in Education and Real Estate over the years. On her summer breaks, Alberta returned to her roots in Prince Edward Island, spending fun times at the beach with family and friends. She also received great joy from her flower and vegetable gardens. Her generous nature led to many visitors and celebrations at both her homes in Toronto and Fernwood, PEI. Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (one block east of Dufferin) on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 2–4 pm & 6–8 pm. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Jerrett Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery – 1450 St. Clair Avenue West. Please join us for a reception after her internment at the Jerrett Funeral Home. If desired, donations in Memory of Alberta may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
