    • OBITUARY:
      While in the presence of his family, William 'Bill' Armstrong passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, August 17, 2007. Bill was born on May 17, 1949 in Stettler, Alberta, a son to Wendell and Ruby Armstrong. In 1967 he moved to Calgary and in 1969 started his career with Canadian Pacific Railway. Ever proud to be a railroader, Bill retired in December of 2004. To celebrate his life and cherish his memory, Bill leaves his wife, Paula; children, Janine (Steve) Melvin of Calgary and Rick (Heather) Armstrong of Medicine Hat. Special memories will be passed on to his grandchildren, Chase and Lauren Melvin and Kian and Reid Armstrong. Bill also leaves one sister, Ellen (Bryden) Madore and their children, Sydney and Cody of Medicine Hat. He was predeceased by one son, Shane; parents, Wendell and Ruby Armstrong. You are invited to join in the celebration of Bill's life at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13th Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Civil Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Private Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Bill's name may be made directly to the Alberta Children's Hospital, 2888 Shaganappi Trail N.W., Calgary, Alberta T3B 6A8.
