  OBITUARY: Nancy Lee Schaefer passed away on Sunday, April 10th at her Osterville home. Nancy was born in San Antonio, TX and grew up in Quincy, MA. She was the daughter of John McIver, MD and his wife Eileen. After college, Nancy became a 2nd grade teacher and taught in Quincy, MA and then worked for the department of defense, teaching the children of military families on bases in Okinawa, Japan and Nuremberg, Germany. She met her husband Hermann in Germany and they were married in Osterville, MA. In 1979, they moved to the United States and have been living in Osterville, MA since then. Nancy is survived by her husband Hermann and their two sons Alexander and his wife Stacy and grandson Morgan and Kirk Schaefer and his wife Michelle Moran, her brother Kent McIver and his wife Janice and four nieces and nephews. Nancy is predeceased by her parents and her brother Christopher McIver.
