  Mary Frances Gallant was the fourth child born to Francis Gallant and Fanny McIver. She was born in Tignish, Prince Edward Island. She joined her older brother, Charles Boyd Gallant, in California, where she met Alfred Dundas. Alfred was born in Jubbulpore, India in 1895, to William and Mary Sophia Dundas. They returned to Ireland before 1901. Alfred arrived in Montreal, Canada in 1913 on the Royal Edward. In 1926, Frances and Albert were living in Oakland, California. It appears that they settled in Vancouver around January 1931. Alfred passed away in Vancouver, in 1965. Frances appears to have moved to Quebec, where her daughter Frances Marie was living, as this is where she died in 1970. Frances was buried in Kinkora.
