John J. O’Grady, 90, of Hollywood died Jan. 20,2005, at St Mary's Nursing Center in Leonardtown.
Born June 19,1914, in Cambridge, Mass., he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Maloney O’Grady.
He worked as a dental technician at the Tullock Dental Laboratory in Boston, Mass., and as manager of Jacob Wirth’s Restaurant in Boston.
He was a member of customer affairs at the state house in Boston, member of the Brighton Knights of Columbus and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and past president of the Massachusetts Football Referee Association in Allston, Mass.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Josephine Hughes O'Grady of Hollywood; a son, Kevin Francis O’Grady of Hollywood; three grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and two sisters, Madelyn Frechette and Irene Porter, both of Boston.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Jan. 27 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hollywood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Ray Schmidt will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Arrangements were provided by the Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown.
