  OBITUARY: Esther B. Jacques, 87, died Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis R. Jacques. Mrs. Jacques was born in Grand Isle, Maine, on August 13, 1924, daughter of the late Jean and Alma (Corbin) Bouchard and was a Harwinton resident for many years. She was a retired employee with Waring Products, retiring in 1986 with many years of service. Mrs. Jacques enjoyed cooking, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family who will sorely miss her beautiful expressive blue eyes. She will be fondly remembered for her undeniable devotion and passion for children and all kinds of animals. She will be genuinely missed by her survivors who include her children; Linda and her husband, Richard D'Onofrio, John Jacques, Earl Jacques, Gayle Jacques, Janice and her husband, Mark DeNegre, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her god-daughter; Merita Horwath, a brother Jean Bouchard as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Rodney W. Jacques, grandson, Kollin DeNegre, and sister, Rejeanne Levesque. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at the Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect Street, Torrington. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Harwinton. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valerie Manor Residents Fund, 1360 Torringford Street, Torrington, CT 06790; or to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, 282 Washington Street, Hartford, CT 06106.
