DeNEGRE, Kollin Francis
Kollin Francis DeNegre, 18 of Catlin Rd., died Tuesday (August 7, 2007) from injuries sustained in a jet ski accident while on a trip to Roanoke Rapids, NC. Kollin was born in Torrington on May 28, 1989, son of L. Mark , Jr. and Janice (Jacques) DeNegre. Kollin graduated from Lewis Mills High School in June, 2007 where he was Vice President of the Student Council and was a member of the varsity baseball team. He was to attend the University of Connecticut in the fall. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman, was a best friend to all his friends and a perfect son. He will be greatly missed by all, but especially his closest friends, AJ Grech, Tommy Varanelli, Jr. and Casey Emanuelson, and so many more from the Thursday Night Horseshoe Bon Fires. Besides his parents he is survived by his sister Ronnell DeNegre of Harwinton; maternal grandmother Esther B. Jacques of Torrington; paternal grandparents, Dr. Mark and Rita DeNegre of Woodbridge; uncles, John Jacques of Harwinton, Earl Jacques of Leona Valley, CA, Damian DeNegre and his wife Donna of North Branford, Gerard DeNegre and his wife Vivika of Guilford, Christopher DeNegre of Wallingford, and Peter DeNegre and Juan Garcia of Bronx, NY; aunts, Linda D'Onofrio and her husband Richard of Newington, Gayle Messinger of Torrington, Merita Horwath of Burlington, Diana Limoncelli and her husband Arthur of New Haven, and Cynthia Cudworth of Glastonbury; and 18 cousins. He also leaves behind his other families; neighbors Bob and Cheryl Hammond, his second parents; the Harwinton Volunteer Fire Department and the Lewis S. Mills Baseball Team. His dedication to these friends and family was inspiring. He was predeceased by his grandfather Francis Jacques and his uncle Rodney Jacques. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 78 Harwinton Rd., Harwinton.
