    • OBITUARY:
      William "Bill" Morel, 79, of Lynn Haven, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011, at a local hospital. He retired after 30 years in the USAF. He was the past president and active member of the Optimist Club of Panama City and attended Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. Bill enjoyed working crossword puzzles and collected model trains.

      He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Morel; son, Eric Morel (Denise); two daughters, Theresa Hrynkew (John) and Nikki DiBacco (Bill); three stepsons, Scott Allen Olson, Richard Whittecar (Linda) and Richard Jones (Monica); five stepdaughters, Denise Gwadz, Norma Schantz (Isaac), Donna Robinson (Rob), Barbara Hoyt (Ken) and Angie Owens (David); three sisters, Jean Oliver, Ethel Granados and Anna Ayotte; one brother, Thomas J. Morel; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

      A funeral service will be held Monday, May 16, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 15, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
