  Pauline McKenna was the 12th child born to Charles William McKenna and Bertha Marshall, on July 31, 1909. When she was 20 years old, she was living with her sister, Laura, in Washington, D.C., working as a secretary in a doctor’s office. Pauline never married. When she retired, she was working as an Office Secretary at the US Veterans’ Hospital. Pauline died in a two-car crash on Route 101 in Auburn, New Hampshire, on Saturday, November 23, 1968. She and her sister, Bertha, were both killed in the accident, and another sister, Laura, was hospitalized.
