Notes - Fran was born on December 6, 1941, in Saginaw to the Mary Florence McIntyre from Prince Edward Island, Canada, and Joseph Francis McKenna from Lynn, Massachusetts. Fran was a 1959 graduate of St. Mary Cathedral High School. He was a member of the ROTC at the University of Detroit, where he graduated in 1964 with a BS in Accounting. He entered the U.S. Army in 1964, at Fort Carson, Colorado serving as 1st Lt. Field Artillery. From 1967 until 1979, Fran proudly served the 4th Battalion, 38th FA in Bay City, where he reached the rank of Captain. Fran opened his own accounting firm in the early 80s in Saginaw. He had a special love of history especially the World War II era. He enjoyed sharing time with his many friends and family golfing, skiing, and boating at his cottage. Above all, he loved life and lived it to its fullest traveling to visit family and sharing trips with his family.
