  OBITUARY: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alan Kenneth McBain on June 4th, 2024 at the Ruddy - Shenkman Hospice. He was a beloved husband , father, grandfather and soon to be great-grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maureen (McAvinn), his son Michael (Joanne Stimpson) and his daughter Kelly Gasperetti ( Paul) and four grandsons, Tyler McBain (Ally Slattery), Trevor McBain ( Kass Crawford), and Jacob and Joey Gasperetti. He was predeceased by his parents Ken and Vera McBain and his only sibling Joan Hamilton (Bruce). Al enjoyed a 30 year career with the OPP serving at Lancaster, West Carleton and Rockcliffe Park detachments. Aside from his love of family Al will be remembered for his love of animals, sweets and good chip trucks. The Funeral Mass will be on July 10/2024 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 153 Woodroffe Avenue. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11. Reception to follow in the church hall.
