Newspaper Article - Joseph Ready
Article published in The Summerside Guardian on May 3, 1941, which details the funeral of Joseph Ready, who was buried in Cambridge, England, alongside a close friend, Freddie Harrold, who had also been killed in action. The service was performed by Father F. MacDonald, who was pastor in Indian River, PEI, before enlisting for military duty. The Harrold’s home became a gathering place for Islanders during time off during WWII.
